Bush Baby was developed in response to requests for a baby marrow variety. Bred to satisfy gardener’s requests for a smaller marrow, these plants are a bush type. The fruits grow to approximately three quarters the size of a standard variety. These compact plants have an open habit. Fruits are able to set and ripen quickly. Grow marrow plants directly in growing bags, large pots or right in the garden bed. These new hybrid seeds will produce a high yield of marrows with excellent flavour per plant. Harvest these striped, delicious baby marrows when mature. 15 to 20cm (6-8in) long. Bush Baby F1 Marrow has been awarded the RHS Award of Garden Merit.
Sow seeds singly in 7.5cm (3") pots under glass in early April and plant outdoors in late May. Alternatively sow outdoors in late May or early June where the plants are to grow. If you are concerned about pollination and want to get the maximum yield, remove the petals from a male flower and gently insert the core into a female flower. Use a different male flower for each fruit.
