Punica granatum 'Sweet'

Granatum Sweet Pomegranate is very sweet, low acid arils that are a gorgeous red colour from red-skinned fruit. The gorgeous orange-red blooms provide a subtropical look. Possibly hardy to zone 6. This is a multi-stemmed deciduous shrub that grows up to 10 feet but is easy to keep smaller by pruning. Pomegranates require lots of sun and heat to bloom and fruit. They are self fertile and leaf out in late spring.
