Azadi Pomegranate is a unique pomegranate with pale yellow skin flushed with pink and arils that are a beautiful peach colour with delicious sweetness. Seeds are very soft and edible. ‘Azadi’ means ‘Freedom’ in Persian. The gorgeous orange-red blooms provide a subtropical look. This is a multi-stemmed deciduous shrub that grows up to 10 feet tall but is easy to keep smaller by pruning. Pomegranates require lots of sun and heat to bloom and fruit. They are self fertile and leaf out in late spring.
