Hardi-Mac Semi Dwarf Apple were bred from a selection of the historical McIntosh Apple, which was founded in Calgary, in 1992. An apple tree variety that produces apples that are medium in size, crisp, juicy, and having a white flesh. They are great apples for fresh eating and cooking. The have a fair storage quality. The apples ripen mid-September.
Prior to new growth prune the branches to create an open centered branching, allowing an even amount of light throughout the tree. Prune off broken or damaged limbs. Water regularly as needed. Need anther apple variety to cross pollinate. Prefers a moist, well-drained soil.
