Helleborus 'Barolo'

The Helleborus Ice n’ Roses Barolo features large, outward-facing blossoms in a deep, velvety wine red that glows beautifully in winter sunlight. Its dense, leathery dark green foliage forms enduring evergreen mounds. Blooming starts as early as January in containers and late January outdoors, lasting well into spring. This variety, a hybrid of H. x ericsmithii and H. x hybridus, belongs to the Ice n’ Roses series known for their sizeable leaves and tall flower stems reaching up to 1.5 feet. Ideal for containers or garden beds, it thrives in full to partial sun, resists deer, and performs well in zones 4 and 5 with proper winter protection.
