Haworthia

Haworthia is a diverse genus comprising approximately 150 species of compact succulents belonging to the Asphodelaceae family, alongside Aloe, Gasteria, and Astroloba. Primarily native to South Africa, these plants also inhabit Swaziland, Namibia, and Mozambique, with many species reclassified into the genera Haworthiopsis and Tulista. These succulents develop as solitary or clustering rosettes of thick, fleshy leaves that display remarkable variety in size, shape, texture, and colouration—even identical specimens can exhibit distinct markings and hues. Their delicate white flowers emerge on slender, typically upright stems, adding subtle charm to these architectural plants.
