Beer's Black Fig is a dwarf fig tree that grows just 3 to 5 feet tall making it easy to grow in a container. It’s also hardy to zone 6 with added winter protection! Fruit is medium-sized with reddish-pink flesh and a violet exterior similar to ‘Violette de Bordeaux’. A self-pollinator. Produces an early breba crop (on previous year’s growth) in spring and then another crop of figs in fall. Provide the hottest, sunniest spot you have. One of the best for fresh eating, preserves, and drying.
