Daphne 'Perfume Princess Pink'

‘Perfume Princess Pink’ is the earliest and longest-blooming Daphne, notable for its ease of care and suitability for container growth. This hybrid combines Daphne bholua’s winter flowering and intense baby powder scent with Daphne odora’s late winter to spring bloom and rich tropical fragrance. Resembling Daphne odora in size and form, it reaches about 3 feet in height and width. From mid-winter through late spring, clusters of deep purple-pink buds open into fragrant pale pink flowers that fade to white, contrasting with glossy evergreen leaves. Flowers appear along stems as well as at tips, emitting a distinctive sweet citrus and floral aroma. It thrives in well-drained soils of average fertility, tolerating both sun and shade.
