Hungarian Hot Wax’s medium-hot fruit average 14cm (5.5”) long, ripening from yellow to shades of orange and red. Compact, productive plants grow up to 60cm (24") in height. Early and widely adapted, this one does well even in cool summers, performing well from Vancouver Island to Nova Scotia. At a relatively mild 5,000 - 10,000 SHU's, Hungarian Hot Wax is good for pickling, sliced or whole. Try a couple of plants in some three-to-five-gallon containers on your patio.
