I step into the forest, soothing breath, my body softens. Oyster mushrooms fan, decorating a fallen tree. Pearls of the forest. A banana slugs glides slowly between my feet. Old man's beard drapes catching the light, furry glowing. I sit wrapping my arms round an ancient teacher and ask for forgiveness. Breathing in warm dark elephant bark, fingers sticky with sap, listening - Anja Jane - Musings from Bowen Island.
