The Beach Valley Peruvian Lily is a captivating Alstroemeria cultivar with lush green foliage and masses of long-lasting pink-blushed, creamy-white summer blooms. These eye-catching flowers are accented with yellow and are irresistible to bees, butterflies, and other pollinators, turning your garden into a buzzing hive of activity.
Also known as Peruvian Lily, Alstroemerias are generally used as bed and border plants. However, they also grow well in pots and are ideal for brightening up the patio. Peruvian Lilies are hugely popular with florists and last well in an indoor cut flower display, on their own or in a mixed bouquet.
Alstroemerias are relatively easy to grow and care for. They prefer a sheltered spot in full sun or partial shade and thrive in fertile, moist but well-draining soil. The Peruvian Lily is fairly drought tolerant and, once established, only needs to be watered during particularly dry spells. Very little pruning is required, but deadheading spent blooms helps encourage a longer flowering season, and the plant benefits from any old stems being cut back in spring, ready for fresh new growth to emerge. This cultivar reaches an eventual height and spread of up to 45cm.
