Ghost Dancer Japanese Maple leafs out in the early spring with purple tipping and a deep green veining over a creamy white to green leaf. For longest display of color, it is recommended to give 'Ghost Dancer' protection from the hot afternoon sun. 'Ghost Dancer' may reach 8 ft in 15 years.
'Ghost Dancer' originated at a nursery near Gaston, Oregon, separately from the reticulated variegated Japanese maples selected by Buchholz Nursery that became the Ghost series. While this maple is not officially part of the Ghost series, 'Ghost Dancer' does bare a close likeness to these reticulated beauties.
