Pacific Silver Fir, similar to Grand Fir, features needles that extend horizontally from both sides. However, it uniquely has shorter needles on the upper side that point forward and lay flat against the twig, creating a texture reminiscent of hair on a dog's tail. This distinct needle arrangement means the twig can only be gently stroking in one direction.
